Wow, today is the second day of the fourth month of the year 2011, yet this is my first post for the year, this blog seems abandoned for good. Actually its not! Its just that social networking websites are taking the toll. People, and that includes me, are spending so much of their online hours with facebook than blogging. But who can complain? Its a far more better platform and I don't have to explain further.
Seems a lot of things happening since my last post, very notable of which are the one unfolding beyond our shores. First were the uprising of people/citizen against their leaders/dictators of the countries in the middle east, to name a few, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain and etc. The other significant event is the quake and the tsunami in our neighbor country Japan which later on cause a possible nuclear meltdown from the crippled nuclear power plant damaged by the quake. Thanks God no nuclear meltdown happening up to this date. The alarming thing only was the increase of radiation level beyond safe level for humans.
Earthquake were also devastating in New Zealand and other countries in the Pacific Ring of Fire.
Locally, there so many things transpired but hope to mentioned that in my succeeding post because I'm too sleepy now. Good bye folks..

Damn! its been eternity since the last time I blogged! I have not posted in a while and it seems that this blog is dead for good. Anyway nobody cares for nobody follows this blog and its not clogging the bandwidth at all.
It's really hard to maintain a blog and I envy those who are really into it, hardwork is not really synonymous to my name. Actually the truth is, my confidence is so low in writing that I always doubt my spelling and grammar, so hopefully we could hire a proofreader. Joke!!
Ok! So many things has transpired since I last write about the philippines presidential election, Pnoy won, take the oath and stumble on the Hongkong national's hostage taking, he had a seven minute appearance with Obama and so on..but again October is one night sleep away, its election time again, I mean about the Barangay Captain and SK Election (Village Chieftain and Youth Leaders Election).
September would be over in a matter of hours, the month that opens up the 'ber season, which start-up Philippine's Long Christmas Celebration. October is coming in, and first on the mind is our Fiesta!!!ahem!!!. Time would slip past unnoticedly during this time quarter of the year as many celebration are lined-up making the wait to the Xmas day shorter!
Oh I have to go..i just post this one unedited and sans any review...bye

1. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III
+ untainted records in politics
- inexperienced and seems halfbaked for presidency
2. Manny Villar
+ an achiever (rugs to riches story)
- hounded by corruption issues

I already have an idea on how the fight would go, so I'm not one of those who where disappointed on how our own Pacman deliver the much desired win last Sunday. See, i did not even bother to secure a seat on live broadcast of the game offered by the different establishment here in the city. I have already foreseen how the fight would go and I correctly predicted that it would not be that excited and Clottey would be there mainly to cash in.
Funny thing is that there were so many casual fans who complained of the debacle and so many pirated dvd's went unsold to the detriment of the people behind the piracy business who usually wore big smile after cashing in on all Pacman Fights.
However after all the dust are cleared. All of the Philippines were very happy of the victory and all boxing fans in the world is once again awed by the achievement of Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao (51-3-2). The victor in Pacman.

Today, is the first time for the year 2010 that I wrote again for my blog. I was really out of this thing for a very long time and has lost my focus and drive to blog. Blogging was demoted to the least of my priority, nevertheless I would try to visit and update the blog whenever I'm free.
First agenda today was for me to share some observation regarding politics, election is just a few months away and this must be a hot topic. In the forefront of contention is Noynoy Aquino and Manny Villar. Aquino pushing hard to maintain his momentum while Villar is catching up by bombarding the mass media by taking a lot of TV and radio airtime and using all the tricks in advertisement to improve his chances without worries on cost. I'm pretty sure this would be the story of the 2010 presidential election.
Besides the two leading candidate Erap is making his own fight struggling to eliminate legal obstacles. Other candidates are their to keep our ballots long enough, LOL. Forget Gibo(though my better half would move heaven and earth to disagree with me).
Between the two leading candidates, I am forced to pick Aquino, considering that I find Aquino the more trustworthy in leading the country. Villar is so soaked with controversy that his phrases that he would not steal from government coffers because his rich already was so clouded with obscurity and shades of falsehood.
Anyway campaign season is not yet on the full swing, things are just starting to heat up, so until then........

The airwaves is abuzzz with news about Corazon Aquino, our former president. All sung praises to her and critics are laid to a deafening silence, a very precendeted turn of event knowing how our culture as Filipinos respect the dead!
I am a Filipino and I practically grew up with the reign of Cory's presidency. I could still remember how the price of rice soar up during her administration. I have memory flashes on th series of coup attempt still lingers fresh in my mind as i saw it in TV and on my fathers newspaper and magazines(of course not escaping the controversy that philstar was gotten sued for-the under the bed issue thing, lol). The country's economy then must have been at its lowest, we are so poor then to feel the difference anyway.
I admit I'm not all sold out to the legacy of the late Cory. Marcos is due for downfall in the middle of 1980's that I could say that Cory was just lucky to be at the right place and at the right time to claim credit for restoring democracy in the country. As we know, Marcos is already bedridden during those time, and by all possibility power struggle between powerful forces within his administration (including the so called, cronies) is very immenent that would weaken their hold of power. Mr. Ramos and Sen. Enrile, the winning faction in that divisiveness are the expected to bolt out because they are third or fourth in line in getting the dough. Thats why also we can raise our eyebrows in this two so called gentlemen. Though I admit they still deserve recognition for their effort, and recognition is already served to them for gaining presidency and getting the top dog at the senate and numerous other prizes they have after their victory.
The thing that is positive to Cory though was that his integrity and corruption free records is a standard that no other politician of recent memory can equal. She is a standard in clean governance that we can only wish for considering the line-up of politician that we have now. But on the negative side, I believe in terms of running the economy, Cory is not prepared and was a failure in economic management aspect.
I hope that in the future we can have a Cory kind of integrity in the presidency but with a GMA mind and skill for running the economy and the presidency.

The election years is fast approaching. We can smell politics nowadays wherever we found ourself in. Most notable are the early tv ads of known to be aspiring candidates. Politics has already pollute the airwaves this early. This is politics in the Philippines, I was practically born with the scenario and has grown up with it. How bad!
I like to boycott these politicians, who played with our election law by showing themselves on Ads this early which in essence should have violated our fair election law, but nobody would be left if we do that. Everybody rides with the flows and goes with the ebb. Anyway as always, I just cast my ballot with a lot of blanks or in the worst of things I'll just stay at home and enjoy the holiday due to the election. Funny!
Another thing I would like to opine about is the thing that congress is pursuing now, and that is to amend the constitution through a congressional assembly. The lower house is squambling with the senate on how should they vote, be it separately or as one body - congress and senate combined. This is somehow hillarious, because even with the brilliant mind, unquestionable effort and sincerity of our constitutionalist, they failed on this matter to clearly rule on the matter. Anyway, despite no clearcut provision on the constitution on the matter, having taken up my PolSci 1 (Phil. Constitution) I would lean on the belief that they should vote separately then take the average. On the grounds that they are intended to be a bicameral body.
What I do not like though are protesters, hope they would be enlighten and stop filling the street with garbage streamers and garbage minds and ideologies (ouch!! that hurts). I know they have their motives, but I mean to topple the government when they cannot offer a better replacement is insane. Can you imagine if this people are the one in power? For sure expect the worst! Hope they would just join the productive people of this country and contribute to our GDP. Even they would just plant at their backyards instead of protesting, I know they could contribute. I am not saying, that we citizen should not be proactive and vigilant, but hello, theres proper time to it, and what I can see is that this people are doing this too often, that make me thinks this must be their livelihood and means of income. Stop all these things, anyway its the people who elected this crocs and that its just fair that they be given some leeway and prove themselves. After all if they are not good, then the people deserve them!!!!!
